Welcome back, I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I know my last post went on and on and probably seemed somewhat of a commercial at the end, for my new business. I hope you all can look past that, and continue reading, because I do not plan on doing that very often. The whole reason for me creating this forum was to express my views of the ever changing world around us. And I'm thinking to myself right now, "people must be thinking, Why the hell should I care what this guy says or thinks, he's a nobody, and x-cable guy, he don't even know how to write an interesting commentary", but, I just want to put my two-cents in the vast collection of voices out there, many of whom have a somewhat questionable agenda.
I just want to start off by remembering "the good ol' days". Remember, not too long ago, not having to wear your seat belt when you jumped in your car and went down to the corner market? How about, for all you fellow smokers out there, being able to relax and have a cigarette or cigar after a meal at a restaurant. Did it seem like you were doing anything wrong when you would light up after eating that hamburger and fries at the fast food place of you choice? Does second hand smoke really affect non-smokers like we are told, or are we being duped to have just one more freedom taken away from us. Doesn't the openness in a room allow for the harmful properties of a cigarette to be low enough that it wouldn't harm a non-smoker or child? I know that many restaurants installed ventilation systems and/or separated smokers from non-smokers and children, but somehow that wasn't enough. I know I am one-sided on this, because I'm a smoker, but if someone in a restaurant asked me not to smoke, I would have put it out or stepped outside. maybe some others wouldn't do the same, but hey, ask to be put in another section, or go to another restaurant, or complain to the manager, if the restaurant gets a lot of complaints, maybe they would change their policy, don't go to the government and lobby to have someone's freedoms taken away! We are losing our freedoms at a staggering rate these days already, we don't need our fellow countrymen and women to instigate it further.
How about that new health care system the President is trying to force through, do you think it is a good idea?
If you do, did you know that if you cannot afford health care in the future, you may find yourself locked up behind bars? Or, did you know that one of the agendas of it is to put a computer chip implant into every American, to hold information about you or track you? Did you know that implant is referred to as 666? Do you still believe it is a good idea??? Do you think its a good idea to get the flu shot every year? If you do, you might want to look at the contents of it at the website of the CDC. Can you trust the government to be involved in something like your health, when they may be involved population control? Look at our drinking water supply, why are certain chemicals allowed in it that are known to be dangerous in high quantities and cause our bodies harm over long periods of time even with low doses? I'm not saying our government is all bad, or all have bad intentions, but if even a small percentage of our leaders do have a messed up agenda, isn't that cause for a "little" worry? Don't you worry that not long ago the US was the most powerful and wealthy nation, now it seems by most reports that China may be the most powerful? I can't remember in any of my history lessons where China was a good allie. In fact, I remember them coming to anyone's aid to fight against us. But yet they are somehow allowed to steal fresh water from our Great Lakes (Michigan) and take it back to their country in mass quantity, with our leaders looking the other way!! Well , you might say our country owes them a lot of money, from what our government borrowed from them, but where does it show that they have taken that water, and reduced what we owe them in return? I'll bet they haven't decreased our debt from it by even a nickel. Why couldn't they go and get that water from somewhere else, or, they're rich, why couldn't they buy it or at least lower our debt to them for it? Why do our leaders seem to be dragging their feet and not getting this economy back to good shape and letting crazy things happen? I don't know myself, and if anyone out there has some answers to any of the above questions or comments to anything I have said, please feel free to post. I will not remove anyone's comments unless they use profanity or threaten anyone. Until my next blog...thanks for reading.
Wes
